 “It was a shock to find out 3 months ago that I had frank moderate OA. My life seemed to be coming to an abrupt halt with the prospect of not being able to do many of the things that make life worthwhile. The Australian sports physician that I saw suggested a THR within about 5 years with severely curtailed activity until then followed by basically walking around but not much more. “I have struggled to find the words necessary to describe how Forerunners Healthcare Consultants has changed my life. At 44 years of age, to hear the words from a U.S. physician, “You have osteoarthritis in your left hip and I could have you approved for a total hip replacement surgery by Monday”, was nothing short of terrifying. He told me the determining factor of when to undergo the surgery would be when the pain became too intense.
